Below you will find various solutions to common issues with Promethean's ActivBoard
Board Looses Connectivity a.k.a "My pen doesn't work!"
Solution 1
From your desktop click on the ActivBoard icon in the system tray (lower right hand side), select settings, select pen tab , make sure "mouse" is selected.
Solution 2
Update software
1. Open software.
2. Click Help.
3. Click Check For Updates
Solution 3
Disconnect the end of the USB cable that goes into the ActivBoard. Wait a few seconds and then reconnect. You should hear a "ding" sound.
Solution 4
Disconnect board from power outlet. Count 10 seconds and then plug it back in.
Solution 5
Update drivers
1. Right Click: My Computer
2. Select: Manage
3. Select: Device Manager
4. Click the "+" beside: Human Interface Devices
5. For each Promethean device listed: -------- Right click the device -------- Select: Update Driver
Cleaning Dry Erase Marks(Promethean Forum 1, Promethean Forum 2,)
1. Use Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Dry Sponge - gently because it is abrasive
2. Windex - spray on towel not board
3. Dry Eraser Cleaner - spray on towel not board
4. VERY VERY small amount of 409 cleaner - spray on towel not board
